Howdy Astounding Allies!

This week’s newsblog has all awesome content you’ve come to expect from our weekly updates! This week, we’ll be getting a into one of our children’s book dummies we are working on, other cool stuff that we’ve been inspired by recently, and an interesting news story that will, hopefully, make your day better! We really hope you guys enjoy this week’s newsblog and we can’t wait to continue giving you more of these updates in the weeks to come.

1) A Christmas Story Made by Yours Truly! -

From the Story Development Department

In this newsblog, we wanted to give you a sneak peek behind-the-scenes of what we’ve been working on here in the studio. One of the things we’re putting together right now are some dummy children’s books that we’ll be shopping around to different publishers. This pic below is a sneak peek at one of the characters for our Christmas story. Her name is Brooklyn and she’s the oldest of three kids who are the stars of the little story we’re putting together. Over the next few months, we’ll continue to show you glimpses of our work on our other children’s book dummies so please stay tuned to all things Bear & Pixie as we’ll continue to bring you these updates!

2) Another Classic Movie that You Must See if You Haven’t Watched It! –

From the Department of Classic Filmmaking

We’re at it again with another recommended movie pick for you guys! This animated flick is one that is a true classic and I’m surprised I never saw it before growing up! One of the many awesome things about being married to Pixie is having some amazing movies recommended to me that I never got the chance to see growing up. This one is another one of those recommendations from Pixie that I was not let down by. We couldn't find it anywhere to stream for free but you can rent it on all of the different movie-on-demand options out there (for your convenience, there is a link below to stream it through YouTube). [WE ARE NOT SPONSORED BY ANY COMPANY. We are only giving you a genuine, un-sponsored recommendation. Here’s the link below.]

3) Artist Shout-Out

From the Artist Relations Department

This week, our artist shoutout goes to comic artist Francis Manapul. Francis is an awesome artist who has been working in the industry as both an artist and writer for over 20 years. Francis’ art stands out as he is exceptional at laying out a page, his line art is always on point, and he knows how to make every single one of his characters look fresh and unique. If you haven’t seen his work below, make sure you check out his bibliography so you can see some of his work. Links to that and his Instagram below and we highly recommend you check both out and give him a follow! [We are not sponsored by Francis Manapul. We are only fans and genuinely wanted to give a shoutout.]

4) Spongebob is Real?! -

From the Department of Strange Discoveries

We wanted to show you all another great news article I found written by Laurel Wamsley that you have to see to believe. It appears that a recent ocean expedition has uncovered a rather funny discovery! They have found sponges who look a lot like a certain famous cartoon character a mile below the ocean surface. Funny enough, when they found this undersea sponge, it seemed he was down there chilling with a pink starfish right beside him! Don’t believe me? Look at the picture below if you dare! If you want to learn more about this amazing discovery, and actually the real relationship that sponges and stars have in the deep blue see, please check out the link below!

5) Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Ronin -

From the Department of Awesomeness

For this week’s awesome fanart, I came across this incredible image that reimagines Link as a samurai! I know we have the awesome Ghost of Tsushima game on Playstation, but this version of Link on a full Legend of Zelda game would be amazing! This peace was created by an artist who goes by the username Pertheseus on DeviantArt so please go check out his DeviantArt page as he has a ton of awesome Nintendo fan art on his page. [We are not sponsored by Pertheseus. We are only fans and genuinely wanted to give a shoutout.]
